Educational, industrial, and pre-diploma practices are one of the important components of the educational process. In accordance with the curricula and schedules of the educational process, the Department of Journalism and Communication Management takes an active part in the organization of all types of practices.
Tasks of educational practice:
- familiarization with the work of the Media Studio;
- Acquisition of primary skills of work with professional equipment of the Media Studio;
- preparation of information materials for the University website and social networks.
Tasks of the production practice:
- Study of creative activity and types of journalistic activity;
- familiarization with the pre-press and printing process of the newspaper;
- mastering the skills of a radio journalist;
- organization, preparation and writing of journalistic texts for print media, TV and social networks.
- Ability to work with and find sources of information;
- ability to structure information according to genre;
- mastering the skills of writing newspaper materials, scripts, preparing TV texts;
- studying and mastering the skills of a cameraman, editor, sound engineer;
- development of socially significant personality traits and qualities necessary in the practical work of a journalist.

Also, every Thursday students of the 3rd year within the framework of the disciplines "Professional and Creative Practice 1" and "Professional and Creative Practice 2" visit practice bases, to which they are assigned at the beginning of the semester, and perform editorial tasks. The result is publications in mass media. This experience allows to strengthen the interaction between the department and employers, to gain practical experience and to find a job already in the 3rd year of study.
