The purpose of the educational program:

To prepare bachelors in the field of scientific activity in the field of historical science with the necessary competencies to work in the chosen professional activity.

Research Historian, Archivist, Junior Researcher, Research Assistant, Reference Counselor, Methodist, Office-Registrar, Civil Servant, Museum Associate. In case of pedagogical retraining courses can work in schools.

Archives, museums, archaeological laboratories, research institutes, higher education institutions, public organizations and media, research institutes, offices of historical teaching research centers, akimats, libraries, institutes of professional development, management bodies, departments, cultural and educational centers, ethnic centers.

Types of professional activity:

cultural and educational (in organizations and institutions of culture);
Scientific-research (work in university laboratories, research institutes, libraries, archives, museums);
organizational and managerial (in public administration, local, regional and national self-governance bodies);
Expert-analytical (work in analytical centers of public and state organizations).

Functions of professional activity:

professional study of archaeological and cultural monuments on the territory of RK, study of the basics of archival and museum work, study of archival and museum documents for an in-depth study of the history of the region and the Republic as a whole;
preparation and processing of analytical information for decision-making by public administration and local self-government
information support for the historical, cultural, historical and local history aspects of the activities of cultural organizations and institutions;
preparation and processing of information to support the practical activities of analytical centers, public and state organizations and the media;
training for free orientation and self-development of the younger generation;

Archives, museums, archaeological, scientific laboratories, research institutes, state organizations, non-governmental organizations and NGOs, cultural and educational centers, state committees on protection of historical and cultural monuments in Kazakhstan, state administration bodies in the field of culture, education, domestic policy; organizations of tourist business: firms, companies, agencies, organizations for control of export of cultural and historical values outside Kazakhstan.

information and analytical work with archive, museum documents;
outsourcing organizations of archival document storage and archival processing services;
